This entry is more for personal use since I have a bad memory:
LA Trip!! (Thurs Sept 24-Mon Sept 28)
Thurs:
-Fly Virgin America for first time, great experience (everything is a-la carte so remember for next time) ;)
-Sit next to cool girl who works w/ a company called Indigenous ____ ? They do events where unsigned musicians perform together.
-Arrive at LAX. Stephen Brown picks me up in his green Acura. Very nice!
-Go straight to Third St Promenade. Nice area to walk. Tons of homeless.
-Eat copy version of Kogi BBQ... this one's called Calbi Truck. not bad
-Eat pizza (cuz we're still hungry) find out from cashier that CA sales tax is pretty high.
-Make our way to pier/beach area (Santa Monica?). Ppl strolling, fishing, and jumping into the waves.
-Come to Stephen's dorm and meet a couple of his roommates, and also Esther Kim and Eunice Song. Nice chat about ministry and Youth.
Fri:
-Wake up at 6:00am PT. Gotta love the time diff.
-Eat at this place called Chipotle (wink wink). Yup, tastes the same here too.
-Stephen and I head over to the Jay Leno Show in Burbank. Waiting in 100 deg weather! But it was worth it.
-Special guest: Hugh Laurie (House) and Lebron James (except he's only there via satellite).
-Come back to Fuller and head straight to the Welcome BBQ. Meet some more awesome ppl.
-Andy makes his entrance and we head over to Comedy Store in Hollywood
-Watch about a dozen acts.... meet the funniest comedian Vargus Mason. fb buddies now. lol
-Ktown. What what!
-At a lounge/bar called Maitreya... of course the bartender happens to be Charles Chu!! And a random girl I meet knows my cousin David in SF. Get David's most recent cell# and get re-established.
-Hang out w/ Ken Oak!
Sat:
-For brunch go to Rosco's (chicken and waffles). Too much food!
-Hang out at Fuller library. Read book about animals in the Bible. (it was the first one i saw, ok?)
-Check fb and realize alot of ppl live in LA now. My bad for not calling u.
-Stephen naps,.. Andy, Danny, Esther, and I head to Americana Mall... very outdoorsy.
-First store we enter: Urban Outfitters. Mission: Find some Jeans for Andy to go out tonite.
-Andy and I check out the rest of the mall. Meet a random worker who lived in my area (MD).
-Meet up w/ Tyson, head to Ktown for some Pork!!
-Meet up w/ John Lee and catch up.
-Stephen takes us to mystery lounge... which is actually a huge club. Surprise!
-Feelin slightly lost at J-Lounge. Go to outside area, see tons of asians.. mostly koreans who came back from APEX.
-Meet more cool ppl. See Lisa Ling in the crowd!
-Head over to someone's apt/studio. Feels totally like NY!
-Rooftop is niiiice. Andy falls asleep on random chair.
Sun:
-Church w/ Stephen and Andy.
-Eat 1 Oreo Cookie for lunch bc busy having convo w/ nice ladies.
-Head over to Apt to watch Bobby Choy's music vid shoot. See random ppl coming in to be in vid.
-Stephen makes his debut in video. :)
-Have In-and-Out Burger for first time! It really is pretty good. Wanted another.
-Andy heads back to SB (thx 4 coming out! good times)
-Prep for bs tonite w/ Stephen. Songs? Ken suggests: "What if God was one of us...."
-Cool bs (GBS) ... everyone in the room is involved in film or media. lol Great ppl and great community. :)
-Head back to Pasadena to just chiiiiilllll.
Mon:
-Fly to Dulles!
-Think of plan to move out to Cali. hmmmmm

| Did anyone else catch the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics??
My jaw fell to the floor. It was soooo awesome!!! The best ever no doubt.
I've never seen such a vivid/artistic display of people, lights, stunts, etc... anywhere!
Hopefully it'll be available On-Demand (Comcast). Heard China spent $300 mil just for the ceremony!!
